This course provides training on the contents of the guidance published by the environment agencies about the surrender of environmental permits at nuclear sites. 

The guidance is known as the GRR and the full title is “Management of radioactive waste from decommissioning of nuclear sites: Guidance on the Requirements for Release from Radioactive Substances Regulation”.

The guidance is a joint publication by the Environment Agency, the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, and Natural Resources Wales. The GRR was published in July 2018. 

The course provides a thorough technical overview of the contents of the GRR over eight modules listed below;
